Ones by Sabonis now in Lithuania
Domantas Sabonis is an NBA All-Star, the pride of Lithuanian basketball, and now a winemaker. Together with his wife Shashana, Domantas founded the family wine brand, Ones by Sabonis, proving that the highest level of craftsmanship can be applied both on the court and in winemaking.
How was "Ones by Sabonis" born?
Wine often serves as a bridge between cultures, places, and of course, people. Domantas and Shashana came up with the idea after moving to California, where he joined the Sacramento Kings. Napa Valley, one of the world's best wine regions, was just around the corner.
It all started not with a big business plan, but with a small experiment. The couple produced a small batch of wine to give as gifts to friends and family. The positive reactions and genuine enthusiasm inspired them to take this passion to the next level by creating an official brand. 
Ones by Sabonis is not just another celebrity wine. It is quality, sustainability, and family history in one bottle.
The project is being implemented in Napa Valley in collaboration with experienced winemaker Joe Harden. Special attention is paid to quality. The wine is made from grapes grown in CCOF certified (organic) and regenerative vineyards. This means that Sabonias and their partners care not only about the final product, but also about the health of the soil and the environment. 
This business has become a true family affair, with even the children getting involved. As Shashana said, even the little ones participate in the harvest, enjoying the grapes.
Why "Ones"? Basketball Number Symbolism
The name of the wine "Ones" is certainly not accidental. It is associated with the number 11, which is very important to the Sabonis family.
- Both Domantas and Domantas' father, the legend Arvydas Sabonis, wore the number 11 jersey for most of their careers.
- In addition, Domantas' two children were born on the 11th.
This number has become a symbol of the family's identity and success. The bottles are also adorned with a purple wax stopper, which clearly shows Domantas' loyalty and respect for the Sacramento Kings team colors.
