The aroma reveals ripe apples, pears, quince, honey, toasted almonds, and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, rich, and structured, yet maintains a vibrant acidity and tension imparted by the limestone. This is one of André Bonhomme's most powerful and long-lived wines, combining strength, elegance, and a distinctive terroir character.

About the manufacturer
Domaine André Bonhomme is one of the most important names in the Viré-Clessé appellation. The estate was founded in 1956 by André Bonhomme and his wife Gisèle, starting with just 4 hectares of vineyards. André Bonhomme became one of the most influential figures in the Mâconnais region – he was one of the founders of the independent winemakers' movement in the Saône-et-Loire region and contributed to the official recognition of the Viré-Clessé appellation. Today, the estate is run by the third generation of the family – Aurélien Palthey. The winery's philosophy is based on organic viticulture, low yields, and respect for the terroir. The Chardonnay vines grown in limestone clay soils produce concentrated, long-lived, and mineral-driven wines that are considered among the benchmark wines in the entire Mâconnais region.
