Muros Antigos sparkling wine is produced by one of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers, Anselmo Mendes, for whom the Alvarinho variety is like a calling card. Mendes is widely recognized as one of the most important figures in the wine scene of the Vinho Verde region of northern Portugal, renowned for his meticulous work with local grapes and his desire to convey the character of the terroir in every bottle.
The producer places particular emphasis on natural fruitiness, clean fermentation and long-aged wines that retain refreshing acidity, a soft mineral trace and a subtle aromatic profile.
