About the manufacturer
António Madeira is a Portuguese winemaker of French origin who returned to his family roots in the Dão region. Since 2010, he has been exploring and restoring old vineyards in the Serra da Estrela mountains, searching for historic sites that best reflect the true character of Dão. His philosophy is based on respect for the soil, old vine varieties, and minimal intervention winemaking. António Madeira aims to create elegant, fresh, and long-lived wines rather than powerful ones, showcasing the minerality of granite soils and the mountain climate.
