The aroma reveals wild cherry, raspberry, strawberry, dried roses, violet flowers, juniper berries, spices, and subtle notes of volcanic stone. The taste is dry, medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity, soft yet structured tannins, minerality, and a light salinity in the finish. The 2022 vintage maintains the classic Benanti style – elegant, fresh, and more terroir-driven than extraction.

About the manufacturer
Benanti is one of Etna's most important and respected winemaking families, founded by Giuseppe Benanti in 1988 in the village of Viagrande on the eastern coast of Sicily. Giuseppe Benanti was one of the first to see Etna's potential to produce not mass-produced Sicilian wines, but elegant, terroir-driven wines that could compete with the best regions of Italy.
The winery focuses heavily on indigenous Etna varieties – Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante. The vineyards are located on different slopes of Etna – north, southeast, and southwest, at an altitude of approximately 450–900 meters, on sandy volcanic soils rich in minerals.
