The aroma is dominated by red plums, cherries, dried fruit and marzipan, along with notes of cinnamon, nuts, exotic flowers and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is juicy, medium-to-full-bodied, with bright acidity and a very good balance between fruitiness and the concentration provided by the Ripasso method. The taste reveals cherries, ripe plums, black pepper, hints of chocolate and a slight mineral salinity. The finish is long, clean and elegant.

About the manufacturer
Brigaldara is one of the most respected wineries in the Valpolicella region, located in San Pietro in Cariano, Veneto. The family's history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, but the modern face of the winery was shaped by the Cesari family, especially Stefano Cesari, who dedicated much attention to terroir research and highlighting the identity of different Valpolicella zones. Brigaldara is today considered one of the most important representatives of the traditional, elegant Valpolicella style.
Their philosophy is based on balance and local character. Unlike some more modern Amarone or Ripasso producers, Brigaldara seeks not maximum power or sweetness, but purity, acidity, and longevity. "Il Vegro" is an excellent example of this philosophy — the Ripasso style here maintains a hint of Amarone's complexity but does not lose vitality and elegance. As a result, Brigaldara is frequently mentioned among the highest quality traditional Valpolicella producers by both critics and wine enthusiast communities.
