An iconic Islay whisky that defies the stereotype that all whiskies from this region must be smoky. The aroma reveals barley sweetness, meadow flowers, lemon zest, green pears, honey, vanilla, and subtle sea air notes. The taste is fresh, with a silky texture and perfectly balanced – malt, ripe green fruits, brown sugar, citrus, and light oak notes harmoniously blend with subtle minerality and a maritime character. The finish is long, elegant, and refreshing, retaining hints of fruitiness and sea salt.

About the manufacturer

Bruichladdich Distillery was founded in 1881 on the Rinns of Islay peninsula and from the very beginning stood out with its innovative approach to whisky production. Unlike most Islay distilleries, Bruichladdich produces not only heavily peated but also completely unpeated whiskies, aiming to reveal the importance of barley origin and terroir. The distillery uses Victorian-era distillation equipment, which has remained almost unchanged to this day. Today, the distillery's head distiller is Adam Hannett, who continues the philosophy initiated by the legendary Jim McEwan. Great attention is paid to barley grown by local farmers, the traceability of different farms and harvest years, and complete transparency – the composition of each batch of The Classic Laddie can be found using the code on the bottle. It is this philosophy that has made Bruichladdich one of the most innovative and respected Scottish whisky producers, and The Classic Laddie is today considered one of the best unpeated Islay single malt whiskies in the world.
