The aroma features very pronounced citrus notes: lemon, lime, and orange peel, along with white peaches, pineapple, and floral (acacia, honeysuckle) notes. In the mouth, the wine is dry, fresh, and textural, with medium acidity and a light "saline" mineral streak that evokes a sense of Sicilian terroir. The palate is dominated by citrus zest, the sweetness of stone fruits, and a subtle herbal bitterness on the finish.
About the manufacturer
Cantina Orsogna is a large Abruzzo cooperative located near the Maiella mountains and the Adriatic Sea. It is one of Italy's strongest wineries in the organic and biodynamic movement – a large part of its production is certified organic or biodynamic, with Demeter certifications. Their philosophy is very clear: as little chemistry as possible, as much of nature's voice as possible. The vineyards are maintained sustainably, and the wine style is focused on simplicity, transparency, and expression of place.
