The aroma is dominated by black cherries, plums, dried figs and jam-like fruits, along with light notes of spices (cinnamon, cloves). On the palate, the wine is soft, medium-to-full-bodied, with gentle tannins and a warm, round texture. The taste clearly reflects the Primitivo style: ripe black fruits, a slight sweetness, and a gentle spicy finish.
About the manufacturer
Cantina Orsogna is a large Abruzzo cooperative located near the Maiella mountains and the Adriatic Sea. It is one of Italy's strongest wineries in the organic and biodynamic movement – a large part of its production is certified organic or biodynamic, with Demeter certifications. Their philosophy is very clear: as little chemistry as possible, as much of nature's voice as possible. The vineyards are maintained sustainably, and the wine style is focused on simplicity, transparency, and expression of place.
