2024 was a dynamic year in the Tagus region, with spring marked by cooler nights that helped maintain the acidity of the grapes, while a sunny and dry summer period encouraged even ripening. The harvest was hand-picked to achieve the best expression of the fruit. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks to maintain a fresh and fruity taste, with no malolactic fermentation.
The aroma is dominated by green apples, pears and white flowers, while the taste features refreshing citrus acidity, soft minerality and a clean, refreshing finish. This is a light, everyday wine that reflects the sunny character of the Tagus region.

About the manufacturer
Casal da Coelheira is a family-run farm founded in 1986 in the village of Tramagal, in a bend of the Tagus River, north of Lisbon. The name, meaning “place where hares are born”, comes from the abundance of wild animals that still thrive in this part of the landscape. The farm consists of around 64 hectares of vineyards spread over sandy chernet soils, shaped by temperate climate conditions of hot, long summers and cold, wet winters. This environment requires hardy vines with less foliage, but allows for the production of intensely fruitful berries with excellent concentration.

Terroir, varieties and wine style. Casal da Coelheira cultivates both traditional Portuguese varieties—Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Fernão Pires, Arinto—but also selected international variants, such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon or Alicante Bouschet, adapted to the local soil and climate.
