The aroma opens with wild raspberries, rose hips, cherry pits, and rose petals, complemented by notes of hazelnut, toasted bread, vanilla, and cinnamon. The background reveals a distinct chalky minerality and subtle spicy tones. The taste is dry, extremely elegant, and multi-layered, with fine, creamy bubbles. Wild strawberries, redcurrants, cherries, citrus peel, and light toasted nut notes are discernible. The finish is long, mineral, and harmonious, with a subtle saltiness, hints of spice, and an expressive Grand Cru structure.

About the manufacturer

Champagne De Sousa is a family winery located in the village of Avize Grand Cru, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Erick De Sousa, who managed it from 1986, became one of the pioneers of biodynamic winemaking in Champagne. He believed that old vines and living soil best express the character of the terroir, so the estate transitioned to organic production in 1999 and received biodynamic certification in 2013. Today, his children Charlotte, Julie, and Valentin De Sousa continue the family tradition.
