The aroma opens with lemon, lime, green apple, pear, and white flowers, followed by notes of toasted bread crusts, almonds, and chalky minerality. The wine is very pure and precise, with no impression of sweetness. The taste is completely dry, very fresh and vibrant, with fine, creamy bubbles and bright citrus acidity. Notes of lemon, green apple, white peach, and a subtle brioche tone from aging on lees are perceptible. The finish is long, saline, and mineral, with notes of chalk and citrus zest.

About the manufacturer
Veuve Fourny & Fils is a family-owned winery in the village of Vertus Premier Cru, with a history dating back to the 19th century. Today, it is run by brothers Charles-Henry and Emmanuel Fourny, who are continuing the family traditions as the fifth generation. They believe that great champagne is born in the vineyard, so they pay a lot of attention to the care of old Chardonnay vines, sustainable farming, and the individuality of each plot. Work in the cellar is extremely delicate – some wines are fermented in old barrels, and the goal is always the same: to preserve the purity, elegance, and minerality of the Côte des Blancs chalky terroir. Due to this precise style, Veuve Fourny is considered one of the best "grower Champagne" family wineries in Champagne today.
