Aromas: black plum, blackberry, cassis (blackcurrant), together with dried herbs, black pepper, tobacco, graphite and a light hint of cocoa/espresso. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a firm structure and noticeable but not aggressive tannins. The acidity provides freshness, so the wine does not seem too heavy, despite its high concentration.

Château du Cèdre is one of the most prestigious Cahors producers, known for its organic/biodynamic philosophy and a very precise, elegant Malbec style. The Valette family estate is considered one of those that modernized Cahors by introducing more cleanliness, precision, and less "heavy" extraction. The 2022 vintage is widely regarded as very balanced – with good concentration, but retaining freshness and structural purity.
