Eroica Riesling is characterized by a bright, clean, and aromatic style. The aroma is dominated by notes of green apple, lime, peach, and apricot, along with hints of floral, honey, and slight minerality. On the palate, the wine is off-dry, with very lively acidity that provides a sense of freshness and longevity. The finish is long, fruity, with a combination of citrus fruits and a subtle stony minerality.

The name "Eroica" comes from Ludwig van Beethoven's 3rd Symphony ("Eroica" – "Heroic"). This project is a joint creation of Chateau Ste. Michelle and the renowned German winemaker Ernst Loosen (Dr. Loosen, Mosel region). The idea was to combine the elegance and aromatic precision of German Riesling with the sun-ripened fruit of Washington State.
