Racines (French for “roots”) – the name reflects the wine’s connection to the Collard family’s tradition of growing Pinot Meunier, and in particular the memory of Olivier Collard’s grandfather René, known for his excellent Meunier Champagnes. The cuvée is typically harvested from multiple harvests and aged on the lees for a long period (around 3 years or more), which gives it a complex aromatic profile with hints of white peach, caramel and hazelnut, along with creamy bubbles and a clean mineral structure.

About the manufacturer
A family story that began in the Marne Valley, where viticulture has been passed down from generation to generation. The Collard family had long grown grapes and supplied them to the great Champagne houses, but only at the end of the 20th century did they decide to take an independent path. When the Collard and Picard families merged, the ambition was born to create not a mass, but a very personal Champagne - one that would reflect their own vineyards, handwork and timeless elegance. This is a small but very conscious family farm, where the most important thing is not quantity, but character and continuity.
Their philosophy is based on patience, respect for time and the life of the vineyard. Collard-Picard believes that good Champagne is born first in the vineyard, so great attention is paid to the soil, balanced harvest and natural ripening. In the cellar they prefer slow, precise work: long maturation, accumulation of reserve wines. Their wines are never noisy or aggressive - it is a Champagne that speaks calmly, delicately, but very confidently, showing the family's attitude: true quality is born when there is no rush and time is allowed to do its work.
