The year 2016 in the Casablanca and San Antonio valleys was warmer than average but still influenced by the ocean: cool western winds and diurnal temperature shifts helped the Pinot Noir grapes ripen slowly and maintain a natural acidity balance, creating a very clean, aromatic, and structured profile.

The aroma is dominated by red berries – notes of raspberries, strawberries, and red cherries, accompanied by subtle hints of herbs, rose petals, and earthy, lightly spicy undertones.

On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, with soft, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity that provides a structured yet elegant profile. The finish is longer, fruit-driven and clean, with a subtle spicy and mineral foundation that lingers after the last sip.

About the manufacturer

Cono Sur is one of the most prominent examples of modern Chilean winemaking, presenting itself to the world not only as a large exporter but also as an innovative producer that respects its origins. The winery is named in honor of the geographical "cone" of South America – El Cono Sur – symbolizing their connection to the land and region. Cono Sur's philosophy focuses on sustainability, local expression, and a clear aromatic balance. From the very beginning, they have worked to ensure their wines are not only fruity and approachable but also expressive of their terroir: biodiversity in the vineyards, minimal use of herbicides and pesticides, and natural fermentation processes are all part of their daily practice.
