This Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon opens with rich and clearly defined aromas of black stone fruit – a solid profile of sloe, black cherry, and blackberry interwoven with subtle nuances of graphite, cedar, and herbs, complemented by a light hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with vibrant fruit purity and a precise structure: firm yet elegantly integrated acidity provides vitality, while the tannins offer a clear framework that accentuates the Cabernet character. The palate is dominated by black stone fruit and fresh red berry, with a mineral and earthy element and a subtle aniseed undertone adding depth and focus. Damescene is a modern, small-scale South African winery founded by the sommelier and winemaker duo Nathan Valentine and Hannes Meyer.
