The aroma is dominated by lemon, green apple, white flowers, and a light herbal note, along with the sensation of wet stone, chalk, and volcanic minerality. On the palate, the wine is dry, fresh, and taut, with bright acidity and a subtly salty texture. The taste reveals citrus, pear, a hint of peach, and a mineral, "stony" aftertaste. The finish is long, clean, and very precise — typical of the Etna Bianco style.

About the manufacturer
Destro is a family winery located in the northeastern Etna DOC zone, in the Randazzo area of Sicily. Its history began in the late 19th century when the family first settled on this land (around 1897), but the modern phase of the winery took shape at the beginning of the 21st century when old farmhouses and vineyards were renovated, and modern winemaking equipment was installed. Destro was one of those Etna wineries that grew with the region's renaissance itself—from an almost unknown volcanic wine region to one of Italy's most prestigious terroirs. Their history is clearly rooted in place: volcanic slopes, high altitude, ancient grape varieties, and the goal of achieving the purest Etna character.
Today, Destro remains a family-run winery, with different generations working together, combining tradition and modern oenology. In the vineyards, much attention is paid to indigenous varieties—Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, and Catarratto—and most of the work is done by hand to maintain a natural balance between climate, soil, and plant. The winemaking process also involves a technical team and oenologists who help shape a precise style that does not erase the terroir's identity. Destro is today considered part of the "classic Etna style": elegant, mineral wines where the most important aspect is not intervention, but the expression of the volcano in the glass.
