Domæne Gobelsburg is a separate wine line of the Schloss Gobelsburg winery. While Schloss Gobelsburg wines are more focused on expressing specific vineyards and historical sites, Domæne Gobelsburg wines aim to convey the broader Kamptal landscape – different soils, altitudes, and microclimates.
Schloss Gobelsburg is one of Austria's oldest wineries, with a history dating back to 1171, and the modern style of the winery is shaped by winemaker Michael Moosbrugger. In the Domæne line, he seeks to create the clearest possible expression of the region: the Kamptal climate is shaped by the Danube and Kamp rivers and cool winds from Waldviertel.
