A fresh, aromatic, and juicy Kamptal Riesling. The 2021 vintage features aromas of ripe apricots, peaches, and citrus, complemented by subtle spicy and stony notes. The taste is richer and more textural than one might expect from a basic regional Riesling: ripe fruitiness, well-integrated acidity, and a gentle phenolic grip give the wine structure. The finish is long, dry, and refreshing.
About the manufacturer
Domæne Gobelsburg is a separate wine line of the Schloss Gobelsburg winery. While Schloss Gobelsburg wines are more focused on expressing specific vineyards and historical sites, Domæne Gobelsburg wines aim to convey the broader Kamptal landscape – different soils, altitudes, and microclimates. Schloss Gobelsburg is one of Austria's oldest wineries, with a history dating back to 1171, and its modern style is shaped by winemaker Michael Moosbrugger. In the Domæne line, he seeks to create the clearest possible expression of the region: the Kamptal climate is characterized by the Danube and Kamp rivers and cool winds from the Waldviertel.
