The aroma is dominated by fresh red berries – cherries, raspberries, redcurrants – along with light herbal, leafy, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is very juicy, light, and "crunchy" in style: soft tannins, refreshing acidity, and vibrant fruitiness create a very easy-drinking profile. The taste showcases the elegance of Cabernet Franc without heaviness – more fruit energy than a structural wine.
About the manufacturer
Fred Sigonneau is a small, family-run winery in the Chinon region, founded by Fred Sigonneau with the aim of showcasing the potential of Chenin Blanc in its terroir. The winery places special emphasis on organic and sustainable principles, working with limited yields and minimal intervention in the production process. This allows them to create wines that are pure, elegant, and clearly convey the character of the Chinon region. Great attention is paid to the vineyards – soil health, plant balance, and manual harvesting. The philosophy is based on the principles of authenticity and purity: each wine must reflect the specific local conditions, the influence of the climate, and the elegance of the Chenin Blanc variety.
