Domaine de Sulauze is a dynamic family-owned vineyard and winery located in the Provence region of France, near Miramas, where the soil – calcareous with ancient layers of shells and sand – imparts a special structure and minerality to the wines. Karina and Guillaume Lefèvre are a young, energetic winemaking couple who emphasize agroecology and biodynamic practices in their winemaking philosophy, aiming to preserve the natural expression of the terroir in their grapes and wines. Other plants and crops are also grown on the estate, and soil health and biodiversity are a priority, which is why their wines are often made with minimal or no sulfites. Karina and Guillaume don't just want to make "technical" wines – their goal is to create unique, vibrant, and lively sparkling wines that convey the character of the terroir and the lively energy of fermentation. "Supermodeste" is a perfect example of this: it is a sparkling wine that embodies both the fruitiness of local grapes and a philosophy of minimalism, while offering an intense yet subtly natural taste and aroma.
