The aroma is dominated by red cherries, raspberries, and ripe strawberries, alongside rose petals, white pepper, orange zest, and a subtle garrigue (Provençal herbs) note. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, silky and delicately juicy, with soft but firm tannins and a bright, fresh acidity. The taste reveals the clarity of red berries, a light spiciness, and a subtle hint of chocolate and graphite. The finish is long, elegant, and somewhat more "Burgundian" refined than the classic Southern Rhône style.

About the manufacturer
Domaine La Roquète is a project by the Brunier family (the same family as the legendary Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe) in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, created as a more modern and somewhat more accessible interpretation of their wines, while maintaining the same terroir philosophy. The winery works with different plots within the appellation, particularly emphasizing the potential of higher elevations and sandy soils, which lend the wines more elegance, freshness, and fruit purity. La Roquète's style is typically softer and more refined than traditional heavy Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, but still retains the structure, longevity, and clear connection to the locality characteristic of the Brunier family.
