Structured, deep, and yet elegant. The aroma reveals ripe cherries, dried roses, violets, licorice, tobacco, spices, and subtle balsamic and mineral notes. The taste is concentrated, with a firm yet refined tannin structure, vibrant acidity, and a long, complex finish. This is a classic style Barolo, characterized by the Monforte d'Alba character – power, minerality, and excellent aging potential.

About the manufacturer
Domenico Clerico – one of the most prominent wineries of the modern Barolo movement, founded in 1976 in Monforte d'Alba. Domenico Clerico was one of the winemakers who helped change the face of the region – combining respect for tradition with a new approach to vineyard selection, lower yields, and the expression of terroir. His goal was always to create wines that spoke of a specific place, rather than just the grape variety.
Today, the winery's philosophy is continued by Luca Veglio, a long-time member of Domenico Clerico's team and the chief winemaker responsible for maintaining the wines' style after Domenico Clerico's death in 2017. The winery pays great attention to the character of individual plots – this Barolo is made from the best vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, whose calcareous clay soils give the wine structure, minerality, and longevity.
