This champagne has a rich, complex and extremely elegant profile, typical of a high-class grower Champagne . The aroma reveals ripe apples, citrus peel, soft red berries and notes of toasted brioche and nuts. On the palate it is dry, but very concentrated - with a creamy texture, fine, long-lasting bubbles and expressive minerality. The aftertaste is long, structured and "winey", with subtle nuances of pastries, spices and light smokiness.

About the manufacturer

Egly-Ouriet is one of the most famous grower Champagne producers, located in the village of Ambonnay Grand Cru, in the Montagne de Reims region. The farm began its activities after the Second World War and today manages about 12 hectares of vineyards, mainly in Grand Cru areas, where Pinot Noir dominates. The house is famous for the fact that all attention is paid to the vineyard - the harvest is picked at full ripeness, and each plot is vinified separately, in order to maximize the expression of the terroir.
The house style stands out from other Champagne producers – their wines are often richer, more structured and more “winey”, reminiscent even of Burgundy whites. This is achieved by using natural yeasts, oak fermentation and very long maturation on the lees. Francis Egly is considered one of the most precise winemakers in the region, and his philosophy – minimal intervention and maximum quality – allows him to create champagnes of great depth, complexity and longevity.
