The year 2018 in the Aconcagua Valley was exceptionally favorable – a warm, stable growing season with sunny days and cooler nights allowed the grapes to achieve full phenolic ripeness while maintaining a good acid structure. This gave the wine mature fruitiness, yet also clear balance and elegance.

The aroma is dominated by blackcurrant, ripe plum, and black cherry, accompanied by tobacco, cocoa, cedar, delicate spices, and subtle herbal nuances (eucalyptus, mint).

On the palate, the wine is dry, medium to full-bodied, with soft but structured tannins and lively but integrated acidity. The texture is round, with a good balance of fruit concentration and oak. The finish is long, with notes of dark berries, spices, and a subtle hint of chocolate.

About the manufacturer

Viña Errázuriz is one of Chile's oldest and most important wineries, founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz in the Aconcagua Valley. He was the first to systematically plant French grape varieties in Chile, thus laying the foundations for modern winemaking in the country. Today, the winery remains one of Chile's leading benchmarks for premium wine, and its direction is shaped by Eduardo Chadwick – one of the most influential figures in the country's wine history, who actively elevated the prestige of Chilean wines in the international arena. Errázuriz's philosophy is based on refining the terroir of the Aconcagua Valley: vineyards are carefully selected from the best locations, much attention is paid to the balance between fruitiness, structure, and elegance, and the work of the cellar master is very precise and "architectural" – the aim is not to reinvent the wine, but to reveal the character of the place as clearly as possible, while maintaining an international standard of refinement.
