A fresh and elegant white wine that reveals the classic style of the Gavi region. The aroma is dominated by lemon zest, green apples, pears, acacia blossoms, and subtle notes of white flowers. The taste is dry, fresh, and harmonious, characterized by a distinct minerality, juicy acidity, and a light almond aftertaste, which is typical of the best Cortese wines.

About the manufacturer

Fontanafredda is one of the most historically significant Barolo wineries, its history beginning in 1858 when King Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy acquired the estate in Serralunga d'Alba. Today, it is one of the largest organically farming wineries in the Barolo region, managing over 120 hectares of certified organic vineyards. The winery is renowned for its respect for traditional Piedmontese winemaking – long aging in large oak barrels, meticulous vineyard work, and the aim for every wine to accurately reflect its place of origin. Since 2018, the winery's technical team has been led by chief winemaker Giorgio Lavagna, who continues Fontanafredda's philosophy of combining traditions cultivated for over 160 years with a modern, sustainable approach to winemaking. Today, Fontanafredda is considered one of Serralunga d'Alba's most prominent ambassadors worldwide.
