A mineral and elegant white wine, born on the slopes of Mount Etna. The aroma reveals notes of quince, yellow plums, melon, citrus peel, sage, tomato leaves, and white flowers, complemented by hints of honey, hay, and subtle yeast nuances. The taste is rich yet incredibly refreshing – yellow fruits, pineapple, and citrus combine with a distinct volcanic minerality, vibrant acidity, and a long, saline mineral finish. The 2023 vintage stands out for its precise balance between fruitiness and the characteristic freshness of Etna.

About the manufacturer
IDDA is a joint project of two legendary Italian winemaking names: Angelo Gaja and Sicilian winemaker Alberto Graci. The project was launched in 2016 with the aim of revealing the unique potential of Etna's volcanic slopes. The name "Idda" means "She" in the Sicilian dialect – this is how locals respectfully refer to the Etna volcano.
The vineyards are located in the areas of Biancavilla and Belpasso, at an altitude of 600–800 meters above sea level. Here, Carricante grows in old volcanic soils, formed after lava eruptions tens of thousands of years ago. Angelo Gaja and Alberto Graci are responsible for the winemaking, and their philosophy is based on respect for the terroir, minimal intervention, and the desire to convey Etna's character as accurately as possible. In just a few years, IDDA has become one of the most prestigious names in Sicily and is considered a benchmark Carricante wine from the Etna region.
