The aroma is very concentrated with dried cherries, plums, figs, and raisins, along with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco, dried herbs, and spices. Over time, layers of leather, tar, and dried flowers emerge in the glass.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, very dense but not "heavy" – the tannins are silky, the acidity maintains the structure, and the alcohol is integrated. The taste is dominated by dried fruits, cocoa, spices, and a slight bitterness that provides an elegant Amarone balance. The finish is very long, warming, with a concentration of fruit and spices.

About the manufacturer

Giuseppe Quintarelli is one of Italy’s most iconic wine names, often referred to as the "Father of Amarone" or even the benchmark of the Veneto tradition. Located in the Valpolicella region, in northeastern Veneto, this winery stands out not for its size or modernity, but for its extreme meticulousness and almost ascetic approach to quality. Giuseppe Quintarelli himself shaped a philosophy based on the idea that wine must be made slowly, patiently, and without compromise: long grape drying (appassimento), very long maceration, natural fermentation, and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. These are not "quick" or commercial wines – they are crafted to last for decades. His vision was very clear: wine must be considered a product of culture and craftsmanship, not an industrial commodity. As a result, Quintarelli wines are produced in small quantities, often maintaining an old-world ethic and an almost handcrafted control at every stage. The style is immediately recognizable – rich yet elegant, with concentrated dried fruit flavors, a deep structure, and extraordinary longevity.
