About the manufacturer
Glendalough Distillery is a new Irish distillery in the Wicklow region, founded to revive old Irish distilling traditions. The distillery's name is associated with the historic Glendalough monastic site, and its philosophy is based on combining tradition and experimentation.
This whiskey well demonstrates Glendalough's approach to cask usage: a rather mild Irish distillate is complemented by the specific, highly distinctive influence of a Calvados XO cask. The result is an apple-flavored, sweet, vanilla, and spicy whiskey.
