An elegant and mineral Chardonnay from the Leithaberg DAC appellation (Burgenland, Austria), where the grapes grow on calcareous and slate slopes, giving the wine a pronounced structure and minerality. The wine is made from hand-picked berries from several plots in the Leithagebirge, and during the development process, great attention is paid to natural fermentation and biodynamic farming to express the character of the terroir. The aroma reveals subtle elements of yellow fruit (peach, lemon peel), wild herbs and soft lime minerality, which combine with good acidity and a light creaminess, giving the wine elegance and balance. In the mouth, the wine is fresh, structured and medium-bodied, with a clean nose and a pleasant, mineral aftertaste that reflects the Leithaberg terroir.

About the manufacturer

Weingut Heinrich is a family-run winery in Burgenland, Austria, managed by Gernot and Heike Heinrich. Their philosophy is based on biodynamic farming principles: soil vitality, hand-harvesting, minimal intervention in production, and natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The winery has developed over a long period – it's not a place for quick experiments, but a stable, established operation aiming to convey the character of its terroir and the authenticity of the grapes. The Heinrich family pays attention to detail – from vineyard management to the selection of aging vessels – and treats their "Naked" line as wine "unburdened" by excessive processes: unfiltered, with very little sulfur, allowing the wine to speak openly and without hidden influences.
