Hospices de Beaujeu is a historic organization in the Beaujolais region, stemming from an old tradition of supporting the local community through wine production. The purpose of founding Hospices was to support hospitals, nursing homes, and other social programs, with wine auctions becoming a way to finance these activities. The name Domaine Cuvée Jean Gaudet is given to honor a person associated with the cultivation of this tradition – it is a symbolic name used to designate an exceptional wine from this collection. The philosophy of the House is based on respect for history, the local terroir, and community heritage – it is not just about wine production, but also a social tradition passed down from generation to generation.
