The 2024 vintage in the Morgon region was characterized by a balanced climate – cool night temperatures preserved a vibrant acidity, while warmer days helped the grapes ripen properly. The aroma reveals notes of red and darker berries – raspberries, cherries, a hint of pomegranate – complemented by earthy spices and a delicate herbaceous accent. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, with refreshing acidity, soft yet structured tannins, and a clear fruit profile. There is a subtle mineral foundation, adding depth and a touch of earthiness to the finish. The finish is long, harmonious, and fruit-forward, perfectly representing the character of the Morgon terroir.

About the manufacturer
Hospices de Beaujeu is a historic organization in the Beaujolais region, stemming from an old tradition of supporting the local community through wine production. The purpose of founding Hospices was to support hospitals, nursing homes, and other social programs, with wine auctions becoming a way to finance these activities. The name Domaine Cuvée Jean Gaudet is given to honor a person associated with the cultivation of this tradition – it is a symbolic name used to designate an exceptional wine from this collection.
The philosophy of the House is based on respect for history, the local terroir, and community heritage – it is not just about wine production, but also a social tradition passed down from generation to generation.
