The aroma reveals the classic elegance of 10-year-old Tawny Port: toasted nuts (especially hazelnuts and almonds), caramel, toffee, dried plums, figs, and raisins, complemented by orange zest, subtle spice notes, and a light woody oxidative hint. On the palate, the wine is soft, round, and harmonious, with a creamy texture and perfectly integrated sweetness that is not aggressive but rather reminiscent of a honey and caramel blend. The acidity provides freshness and prevents the wine from becoming heavy, keeping it elegantly balanced. The finish is long, nutty, with subtle notes of coffee, dried fruits, and caramel.

About the manufacturer
J.H. Andresen is a Port House founded in 1845 with Scandinavian roots, distinguished by its elegant, somewhat restrained style. The company was established by Danish-born businessman Jann Hinrich Andresen, and the house later became known for its high-quality aged Tawny and White Port wines. Today, Andresen belongs to the family-owned group The Fladgate Partnership, which also owns historic names such as Taylor's and Fonseca. Andresen maintains a traditional Douro identity – manual work in the vineyards, a classic fortification method, and long aging in oak barrels in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. The house is particularly valued for its aged 10, 20, and older Tawny and White Port categories, which reveal a nutty, caramel, and subtly oxidative elegance.
