The aroma is a sophisticated symphony of maturity: toasted walnuts, hazelnuts, caramel, nuances of burnt sugar and maple syrup, dried figs, dates, and orange zest. Long oxidative aging provides subtle notes of coffee, tobacco, and old wood. On the palate, the wine has a silky texture, concentrated yet surprisingly elegant and light in structure. The sweetness is harmoniously integrated, and the acidity is vibrant and balancing. The finish is long, nutty, with subtle notes of spice and caramelized sugar.

About the manufacturer

J.H. Andresen is a Port House founded in 1845 with Scandinavian roots, distinguished by its elegant, somewhat restrained style. The company was established by Danish-born businessman Jann Hinrich Andresen, and the house later became known for its high-quality aged Tawny and White Port wines. Today, Andresen belongs to the family-owned group The Fladgate Partnership, which also owns historic names such as Taylor's and Fonseca. Andresen maintains a traditional Douro identity – manual work in the vineyards, a classic fortification method, and long aging in oak barrels in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. The house is particularly valued for its aged 10, 20, and older Tawny and White Port categories, which reveal a nutty, caramel, and subtly oxidative elegance.
