"Sur Gamay" is one of Saint-Aubin's Premier Cru climates, located on the slopes of Montagne du Ban near Puligny-Montrachet. Its southern exposure and calcareous soil allow for the cultivation of highly concentrated yet elegant Chardonnay grapes. This Premier Cru is often considered one of the best value alternatives to the famous Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet wines.

Saint-Aubin has long lived in the shadow of its more renowned neighbors, but in recent decades it has become one of the most exciting appellations in Côte de Beaune.
