  • Rheingau Vokietija
  • 100% Riesling
  • Dry white wine, aged in neutral oak barrels

A powerful, concentrated, and elegant Riesling from one of Rheingau's most renowned vineyards. The aroma reveals pineapples, yellow pears, mandarins, ripe yellow fruits, and subtle woody notes. The taste is rich and structured, with a muscular body, good tension, and lively acidity that gives the wine a lightness. The long, juicy finish retains the character of exotic fruits and subtle minerality. The 2020 wine was made from vines over 40 years old.

About the manufacturer

Kloster Eberbach is one of Germany's most historically significant wineries, with a history dating back to 1136, when Cistercian monks founded the monastery and began establishing one of the most important Rheingau wine estates. Today, the winery is managed by the State of Hesse and oversees one of Germany's largest and most important vineyard holdings. The winery is a member of the VDP and focuses primarily on Riesling and Spätburgunder, with top-tier wines produced from carefully selected VDP.GROSSE LAGE® vineyards. The winery's traditions today are combined with a modern approach to sustainable vineyard management and long-term soil preservation. Erbacher Marcobrunn is one of their most historically important sites: the vineyard was mentioned in documents as early as 1390 and was considered one of the best sources of Rheingau wine in the 18th century. The south-facing slope, with a steepness of up to 25%, is dominated by deep, calcareous clay and marl soils, which give the wine body, concentration, and longevity.
