The aroma intensely opens with pears, oranges, yellow apples, and mangoes, complemented by notes of dried apricots, white flowers, and subtle meadow herbs. The taste is dry, juicy, and very easy to drink. Ripe pears, grapefruits, citrus, and yellow fruits are noticeable, while Sylvaner adds refreshing herbal and mineral notes. Short maceration results in a light tannic quality, which gives the wine more structure and a long, refreshing aftertaste.

About the manufacturer
Kumpf & Meyer was founded by Sophie Kumpf and Philippe Meyer in 1997 in the village of Rosheim. From its very first days, the farm was cultivated organically, and in 2010, winemaker Julien Albertus joined the winery and initiated the biodynamic winemaking approach. Today, he oversees about 16 hectares of vineyards spread across 70 small plots in five villages in Alsace. Julien believes that healthy grapes are born from a living ecosystem, which is why he opts for minimal intervention in the cellar – spontaneous fermentation, natural processes, and as few additives as possible. Due to this philosophy, Kumpf & Meyer is now considered one of the most interesting natural wine wineries in Alsace.
