The aroma reveals fresh hazelnuts, roasted notes, marzipan, vanilla, and citrus fruits. In the mouth, the wine is powerful, concentrated, and extremely complex – with notes of almonds, linden blossom, light toasty undertones, and a distinct minerality. The long finish is complemented by citrus and subtle salty notes, characteristic of the best Corton-Charlemagne wines. Aging potential – 10–15 years and more.

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is one of the most prestigious white wine appellations in the world. The vineyards are located on the southeast slope of Corton Hill, where stony limestone soil and excellent sun exposure allow for the cultivation of Chardonnay of exceptional concentration. After the phylloxera epidemic in the late 19th century, the Latour family made the bold decision to uproot the deceased Aligoté and Pinot Noir vines and replant them with Chardonnay – a decision that helped create one of the world's most famous white Grand Cru wines.

About the manufacturer

Maison Louis Latour is one of Burgundy's oldest and most prestigious family wineries, established in 1797 in the village of Aloxe-Corton. The Latour family had been growing grapes since the 17th century, and over two centuries, they created one of the largest Grand Cru vineyard holdings in all of Burgundy. The historic Château Corton Grancey, acquired in the late 19th century, and the modern, ahead-of-its-time five-story gravity-flow winery became the family's most important symbols. To this day, the company remains independent and managed by the Latour family, and its philosophy is based on respect for terroir, traditional winemaking, and exceptional attention to quality. Maison Louis Latour is also the only winery in Burgundy to own its cooperage (tonnellerie), where oak barrels are produced annually for aging their wines.
