  • Burgundy France
  • 100% Pinot Noir
  • Red dry wine, aged in oak barrels
  • 14%

The aroma reveals black cherry, plum, raspberry, tobacco, licorice, and light spices.
On the palate, the wine is rich, structured, and very concentrated, with firm but ripe tannins and a long, mineral finish. The 2016 vintage brings more freshness and "backbone", making the wine feel a little stricter, but very long-lived.

About the manufacturer

Maison Louis Latour is one of Burgundy's oldest and most prestigious family wineries, founded in 1797 in the village of Aloxe-Corton. The Latour family had been growing grapes since the 17th century, and over more than two centuries, they built one of the largest Grand Cru vineyard estates in all of Burgundy. The historic Château Corton Grancey, acquired in the late 19th century, and a modern, ahead-of-its-time five-story gravity-flow winery became the family's most important symbols. To this day, the company remains independent and run by the Latour family, and its philosophy is based on respect for terroir, traditional winemaking, and exceptional attention to quality. Maison Louis Latour is also the only company in Burgundy with its own cooperage (tonnellerie), where oak barrels are produced annually for aging their wines.
