The aroma reveals peaches, pears, green apple, lemon, wet stone, white pepper, and subtle floral notes. The taste is lively and juicy, yet has more texture and depth than a simple light white wine. Bright acidity, minerality, a light nuttiness, and a subtle oak character give the wine a good balance between freshness and complexity.
About the manufacturer
Luis Seabra Vinhos – Luís Seabra’s personal wine project, which he started in 2013 after ten years of working at the Niepoort winery, where he was responsible for producing Douro wines. In his wines, he aims to convey the character of a specific place as clearly as possible, so he uses minimal intervention and focuses heavily on expressing old vineyards and local Douro varieties.
Seabra wines often feature a more restrained, elegant Douro style – less focused on power and concentration, and more on freshness, minerality, texture, and the character of the place. “Xisto Ilimitado” is his more accessible line of wines, made from grapes from younger vines, but maintaining the same philosophy of minimal intervention.
