The aroma reveals notes of dried cherries, plums, blackcurrants, and baked fruits, complemented by cocoa, coffee, liquorice, tobacco, nutmeg, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a velvety texture and exceptional concentration, yet it maintains a perfect balance between ripe fruit, refreshing acidity, and soft tannins. The finish is long, with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco, and spices. The wine has an ageing potential of 30 years or more.
About the manufacturer
Masi Agricola is one of the most renowned and historically significant wineries in the Veneto region, with roots tracing back to 1772. For over 250 years, the Boscaini family has nurtured winemaking traditions in the Valpolicella region, and today the seventh generation of the family leads the winery. The Masi name has become inseparable from Amarone della Valpolicella and the traditional appassimento method, where a portion of the grapes are dried before fermentation to create wines of greater concentration and complexity.
