The aroma reveals marasca cherries, prunes, red berry jam, and blackcurrants, complemented by cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, tobacco, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, highly concentrated, and velvety, yet maintains a vibrant acidity that provides elegance. Silky tannins are perfectly integrated, and the long finish lingers with dark chocolate, marasca cherries, coffee, and cinnamon. The wine has excellent potential to age for another 15–20 years or longer.

Valpolicella Classico is the historic birthplace of Amarone, located between Verona and Lake Garda. The mild lake climate, hilly terrain, and limestone and volcanic soils create ideal conditions for the Corvina grape variety. It is here that the famous appassimento technology was born, allowing the production of some of Italy's longest-lived and most complex red wines.

About the manufacturer

Masi Agricola is one of the most famous and historically significant wineries in the Veneto region, with roots dating back to 1772. For over 250 years, the Boscaini family has nurtured winemaking traditions in the Valpolicella region, and today the winery is managed by the seventh generation of the family. The Masi name has become inseparable from Amarone della Valpolicella and the traditional appassimento method, where a portion of the grapes are dried before fermentation to create wines of greater concentration and complexity. Over the decades, Masi has become one of Italy's most important wine ambassadors worldwide, exporting its wines to over 100 countries.
Masi's philosophy is based on the principle of "innovation through tradition." The winery invests heavily in scientific research, the preservation of indigenous grape varieties, and sustainable agriculture, while maintaining a deep connection to the winemaking heritage of Veneto. The Boscaini family believes that the best wines are born when technology is used not to replace the terroir, but to help it express itself. Although Masi is most famous for Amarone, their projects in other Italian regions, such as Lugana, also reflect the ambition to create elegant, authentic wines that accurately convey their origin.
