Aromas dominated by black cherries, raspberries, blackberries, violets, and light spice notes.
On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a more pronounced Pommard structure: firm yet ripe tannins, good concentration, and a long, slightly earthy finish.
Les Argiillères is one of the Pommard Premier Cru climates, dominated by iron-rich clay and limestone. This combination gives the wines power, structure, and longevity – Pommard is generally considered one of the "tougher" villages of the Côte de Beaune, more structural than aromatic. Historically, the plot belongs to the part of Pommard that combines fruitiness with a serious, almost "armored" tannin structure.

About the manufacturer
Domaine Nicolas Rossignol was founded in 1994, when Nicolas Rossignol merged parts of the holdings of two renowned Burgundy families – Rossignol and Jeanniard. Representing the fifth generation of winemakers, he quickly earned a reputation as one of the most talented winemakers of his generation in the Côte de Beaune. The winery owns approximately 17 hectares of vineyards in Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, and other prestigious appellations. Nicolas Rossignol's philosophy is based on vineyard work – organic principles, low yields, and minimal intervention in the cellar. His wines are known for their purity, energy, and ability to accurately convey the character of each plot, making Nicolas Rossignol today one of the most prominent names in modern Burgundy.
