The aroma reveals cherries, raspberries, rose petals, spices, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with a silky texture, fine tannins, and an excellent balance between fruitiness and freshness. The 2018 vintage provided more concentration and ripeness, yet retained the characteristic refinement of Volnay.
Volnay is often called the most elegant red wine village in Côte de Beaune. Since the 19th century, its Pinot Noir has been renowned not for its power, but for its subtlety, aromatic complexity, and silky texture. The limestone-rich slopes lend the wines exceptional grace.

About the manufacturer
Domaine Nicolas Rossignol was founded in 1994 when Nicolas Rossignol combined parts of the holdings of two prominent Burgundy families – Rossignol and Jeanniard. Representing the fifth generation of winemakers, he quickly earned a reputation as one of the most talented winemakers of his generation in Côte de Beaune.
The winery cultivates approximately 17 hectares of vineyards in Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, and other prestigious appellations. Nicolas Rossignol's philosophy is based on work in the vineyard – ecological principles, low yields, and minimal intervention in the cellar. His wines are renowned for their purity, energy, and ability to precisely convey the character of each plot, making Nicolas Rossignol one of the most prominent names in modern Burgundy today.
