The aroma reveals notes of fresh almonds, apples, biscuits, and minerality. On the palate, the wine has a firm structure, good concentration, and sustained freshness. The 2019 vintage brought more ripeness and richness, but due to the chalky soils and higher altitude, elegance and tension were maintained. Auxey-Duresses is a small appellation located between Meursault and Volnay, often considered one of Burgundy's best value discoveries. The village is situated in a cooler valley, which means that the Chardonnays produced here often exhibit greater freshness and minerality than those from neighboring Meursault, while retaining a similar limestone terroir character.
