An unusual and delicate Georgian wine from the Papari Valley, fermented and aged in traditional ceramic qvevri vessels. The wine has a slight residual sugar ("off-dry"), giving it a mildly sweet note, but not too sweet character. The aromas can be felt fruitiness (apple, melon) and flowers, and the taste structure is balanced between acidity and mild sweetness and light resinity.
About the manufacturer
Papari Valley Winery was founded by Shalva “Nukri” Kurdadze and takes its name from the location “Papari” (Georgian for “horse’s mane”). The winery operates organically, using only natural yeasts and minimal technological intervention. Their innovative multi-terraced qvevri system allows the wine to be racked solely by gravity, without pumps, which helps maintain microbiological sensitivity and authentic flavor.
