The aroma reveals notes of cherry, plum, wild berries, and dried herbs, along with floral, tobacco, earthy, and light spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, very lively and energetic, with refreshing acidity and fine tannins. The taste features characteristic Tuscan cherry notes, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle mineral line. The finish is dry, elegant, and slightly saline.

About the manufacturer

Podere San Cristoforo is one of Maremma's wineries most dedicated to terroir and biodynamics. The estate was founded by Lorenzo Zonin, who chose to work as naturally as possible — without aggressive chemicals, with very low yields, and with minimal intervention in the cellar. Their philosophy is based on the idea that wine must be alive and authentic, which is why local yeasts, neutral aging vessels, and very restrained oak are often used. Podere San Cristoforo wines are not "heavy" or modernly polished — they are more reminiscent of an old-school Tuscan interpretation with modern precision: a lot of freshness, earthiness, and a very clear sense of place.
