The aroma is dominated by cherries, pomegranates, wild strawberries and dried roses, along with notes of tobacco, forest herbs and a light spiciness. On the palate, the wine is elegant, energetic and very precise, with bright acidity and fine, refined tannins. The taste reveals red fruits, orange peel, graphite and a subtle mineral note. The finish is long, dry and very gastronomic.

About the manufacturer

Querciabella was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe “Pepito” Castiglioni and is today considered one of Italy’s most important biodynamic and organic wineries. The name means “beautiful oak forest,” and the winery itself is renowned for its highly precise approach to terroir, sustainability, and natural balance in the vineyards. Querciabella was one of the first Tuscan wineries to abandon chemicals and adopt biodynamic practices when it was not yet popular. Today, the winery is led by Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, who continues the family philosophy: respect for nature, minimal intervention, and the pursuit of an exceptionally elegant, “clean” style. Querciabella also stands out because all its wines are vegan — no animal products are used in their production. Their Chianti Classico is often considered a modern, exceptionally elegant interpretation of Sangiovese, focused not on power, but on balance, energy, and the expression of terroir.
