Rufia Branco 2023 boasts an elegant hue, a fresh aroma with notes of flower petals, green apples, and citrus. On the palate, it offers a light, refreshing acidity, subtle granite minerality, and hints of apple and white peach. As this is a naturally fermented wine with low sulfites, a slight sediment may appear in the bottle – this is not a flaw, but a sign of authenticity.

About the manufacturer
Winemaker João Tavares de Pina works at his family's 13-hectare winery, Quinta da Boavista, in the Dão region, adhering to strict natural viticulture: hand-harvesting, fermentation with natural yeasts, minimal or no added sulfites, and unfiltered wines. The wines from the "Rufia" line are crafted as lighter, more honest, fresh, and expressive wines.
João's family has been involved in winemaking for many years, with vineyards stretching up to 500 meters in altitude in a granite soil zone. Biodynamic and natural processes are maintained in the vineyards – numerous perennial grasses grow between the vines, and the soil is left undisturbed. The producer aims to revive the region's lesser-known local varieties and create wines that reflect the depth of the Dão granite and the unique local climate.
