2022 was a warm year in Mendoza, but with cooler nights, which helped the grapes ripen fully while maintaining good acidity and structure. Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine a firmer backbone, while Malbec adds softness and fruitiness, resulting in a balanced overall profile. The aroma is dominated by black fruits – plums, blackberries, blackcurrants – along with spices, a hint of oak, and cocoa notes. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium to full-bodied, with clear but soft tannins and good fruit concentration. The finish is long, with hints of dark berries and a slight spiciness.

About the manufacturer
Rutini Wines is one of Argentina's most historically significant wineries, founded in 1885 by Felipe Rutini in Mendoza. From the very beginning, their goal was to transfer European winemaking experience to the foothills of the Andes and demonstrate that Mendoza could produce high-quality, long-lasting wines. Today, the winery works with high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley and other areas of Mendoza, where high elevation, intense sun, and cool nights allow them to maintain acid balance and aromatic precision. Their philosophy is based on precise work in the vineyards, careful selection, and technological accuracy in the cellar – aiming for a balance between fruit concentration, structure, and elegance, so that each wine clearly reflects the character of the Andean terroir.
